If you're unsure which pattern might be best for your project, please contact us. We can help advise.
  • How do I order Ingrain Carpet?
Every carpet job is unique. We can help you every step of the way. Contact us to find out more.
  • What can I expect when ordering carpet?
The first step is to contact us to discuss your needs and the size of the room(s) you need carpet for. Once patterns and colors are chosen, we will provide you with a customized quote detailing the cost and timeline for your project. If you choose to order, we require a 50% deposit before we commence weaving. The remaining balance is due upon delivery.
  • How much carpet do I need?
Contact us with the dimensions of the room at both the longest and widest points and we can determine how many yards are required. If your room is more a more complicated shape, please let us know and we can further determine your needs.
  • Is there a minimum run for custom carpet?
Yes. The minimum run is 15 linear yards of any custom woven carpet. If you need a smaller quantity, please contact us. We may be able to offer suggestions on similar colors and patterns we have in stock, dependent on availability.
  • How much does ingrain carpet cost?
Because our carpet is typically woven at 36" wide, it is sold by the yard rather than by the foot. One square yard of carpet is equivalent to 9 square feet. Our Ingrain Carpet starts at $145/square yard. An average 12' x 12' room carpeted in our popular Regency pattern would cost about $2,320 for the carpet itself. Every carpet project is unique, so please note additional fees may apply depending upon the color and pattern selections and complexity of the room(s). Please contact us for a quote tailored to your specific project.
  • Can I get samples of the carpet?
Yes! Please contact us to request samples. We will do our best to accomodate your choice of color(s) and pattern(s). Please note that a fee may be required for each selection. This amount will be refunded once the samples are returned or it can be applied to your deposit if you choose to order.
  • What is the carpet made from?
Our Ingrain Carpet is made from 100% wool yarn. We use a special blend of highly durable, coarse wool from "carpet sheep" - authentic to what was used when ingrain carpet was originally being produced in England and Scotland.
  • What is a carpet sheep?
  • How is Venetian Carpet different from Ingrain Carpet?
Both types of carpet use a very durable and heavy wool yarn and are both flat-weave carpets. The primary difference between the two is the looms on which they are woven. Ingrain carpet is woven on card-driven Jacquard looms that allow for a much more detailed and intricate pattern. Venetian carpets utilize simpler striped patterns and do not require punch cards for manufacture. Venetian carpet was a popular choice for less formal rooms in the home.
  • How long does it take to have carpet made?
The timeline for every carpet job varies depending on several factors, including yarn color selections and size needed. Larger sized carpets and those requiring custom dyeing will take longer to weave. Please allow at least 8 weeks lead time for custom dyed yarn.
  • Do you install the carpet?
No. We do not offer installation services, however we may be able to recommend an installer. Please contact us for more information.
